I am an experienced USMLE tutor in the San Francisco bay area, specializing in 1-on-1 tutoring for USMLE Steps 1, 2CK and 3. I have years of experience tutoring USMLE Step exams and have helped many students achieve their USMLE goals. I have found that most USMLE students who have struggled with Step exams in the past are hard working, intelligent and dedicated, however, their struggles are often due to lack of test strategy and lack of solid fundamental concept knowledge. With a combination of focus on tips/tricks, strategy and planning, all of my previous students have passed their Step exams, and some have even excelled after prior failed attempts (>240). I take great fulfillment in helping students finally crack the code of the USMLE exams and seeing them achieve to their full potential. Personally, I have excelled on these exams, with >250/99 scores at each level, and am a senior resident at a top national residency program, and I aim to pass on my experience and USMLE success to my students, so they too can reach their USMLE and career goals.
My tutoring method focuses on down-to-earth, theme and strategy-based methods of teaching. Previously, I worked for some of the big USMLE tutoring companies, but when working for these companies, I always felt guilty knowing that my student was being charged such an incredibly high rate, mainly to cover the overhead costs of the company and to increase their company profits. I decided to leave the companies and go out on my own, to pass those overhead savings on to the student. Tutoring sessions can be done in person for those in the SF Bay area, or via Skype for those in other regions.
